Travis, Nellie and I just returned from a fun weekend away in New Smyrna Beach!
Nellie was all set to go!
But after a few minutes, the excitement wore off! Luckily it was only about an hour and a half away!
We stayed at a cute little Bed and Breakfast called the Night Swan! It started raining pretty much as soon as we pulled up, but we had fun hanging out and playing games on the covered porch!
On our first night, Travis enjoyed a lobster dinner!
When we woke up the next day, the sun was shining!

There was a nice dining room in the main house, but we opted to enjoy the weather and the view and eat outside!
The first morning we enjoyed a delicious mushroom and turkey sausage quiche, fruit and homemade peppercorn bread. It was so good, I wish I had the recipe!
After breakfast, it was time to head to the beach! First, we went to New Smyrna Dunes Park, which was a dog friendly beach.
Nellie was super nervous about all of the dogs, but she LOVED romping around in the waveless water!
She just jumped right in! Unfortunately, the dogs had to remain leashed, so we weren't able to throw her ball around...which she would've loved!

After the doggy beach, we headed back to the B&B to eat lunch and play a game on our deck!

The B&B has three houses. We were on the top floor of the cottage pictured above.
Next up, Travis and I headed to a different beach. A dogless beach! We were able to drive and park on the beach...which was very convenient!
Travis loved it because the waves were big enough for him to boogie board!

The beach was huge and so clean! The sand was a beautiful, powdery white!
