The Moriartys in O-town!

Leigh Anne and Frank came down to Florida to run in the Walt Disney World Half Marathon! Luckily, they were able to come down a few days before and stay a few days after. So, we had lots of time to hang out!

My friend Melanie brought her puppy, Piper over for a visit! After giving her a good sniff, Nellie had a blast playing with her! And obviously, Leigh Anne did too!

Nellie was so sad when Piper went home. She just sat by the door waiting for her to come back!

The race was super early in the morning so Leigh Anne and Frank had to leave the house just after 3:30 am! Yikes! I left some notes of encouragement around the house!

Our friend (and Ame's husband), Tony was running in the race too. So we all got together to watch the runners! Ame knew all the best spots to go!

Anyone who can run 13.1 miles deserves a sign!

Tony ran by and stopped for a quick picture! After completing the half marathon, Tony ran the full marathon the next day! The combination of the two is called 'The Goofy'. I'm sure you can figure out why! But, in all seriousness, what an accomplishment! Go Tony!

Here comes Frank!!!

So, right before the race started, Leigh Anne was walking to her starting spot while another runner was stretching against a gate. The runner's weight knocked over the gate and it fell over ramming right into Leigh Anne's hand! Consequently, her hand swelled up immediately. After talking to the medic, they thought it might have been broken! Eeeek! But, even with the pain, Leigh Anne started the race and completed 9 miles!!! The only reason she stopped was because the road was getting so skinny that people were bumping into it left and right. She was pretty bummed out that she didn't get to finish, but I think it's pretty impressive that she ran 9 miles in such pain!!! After the race, Leigh Anne went to a clinic for X-rays and thankfully her hand was not broken! But, it sure was black and blue!!!


Out for a celebratory dinner at Mimi's Cafe! We had such a fun weekend with Leigh Anne and Frank. I hope they are able to come back soon! :)
